Events Calendar

Tech Policy Central's mission is to encourage nonpartisan dialogue about tech policy -- not just among Beltway insiders but throughout the technology industry -- and our in-person meetings and conferences are a key part of how we hope to do that. Upcoming events include:

  • January 7-9, 2010: Co-hosted by the Consumer Electronics Association, this special edition of Tech Policy Summit will take place at the 2010 International CES in Las Vegas. Admission is free with your official CES badge.
  • Spring 2010: TPS: Eco-Innovation, a daylong conference focused on cleantech policies impacting innovation. The date and venue are TBA.

Past Events:

  • May 11-13, 2009: Tech Policy Central's flagship conference, the 3rd annual Tech Policy Summit, took place at the San Mateo Marriott hotel. BusinessWeek's Steve Wildstrom served as emcee for the 2009 Summit, which featured over 60 prominent speakers and journalists.
  • May 11, 2009: Co-located with the 3rd annual Tech Policy Summit, TPS: Broadband Innovation was held at the San Mateo Marriott hotel from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
  • March 25, 2009: Breakfast meetup at the Computer History Museum, featuring Google's vice president and Chief Internet Evangelist Dr. Vint Cerf in conversation with WIRED's senior writer Steven Levy.
  • March 1, 2009: Making Sure What Happens in D.C. Matters in Silicon Valley roundtable, in conjunction with the annual DEMO conference in Palm Desert, CA. 

  • January 6, 2009: Privacy 2009: The Year Ahead lunch salon, in conjunction with Facebook.
