TPS @ CES 2010

In 2010, Tech Policy Summit teamed up with the Consumer Electronics Association for the first time to host a series of in-depth sessions at the 2010 International CES, January 7-9, 2010 on topics like: 

• The Development and Impact of a U.S. Broadband Plan
• Making Spectrum Available for Next-gen Wireless Apps and Services
• Digital Copyright and the Future of Content Creation and Distribution
• What Tech can Expect from Congress and the Administration in 2010

Participating speakers included Public Knowledge president Gigi Sohn; Congressman Darrell Issa; FCC commissioners Mignon Clyburn, Meredith Baker and Robert McDowell; EFF senior staff attorney Fred von Lohmann; Qualcomm VP of Government Affairs Dean Brenner and New America Foundation VP Michael Calabrese, among others.

In addition, there was a one-on-one conversation between CEA president and CEO Gary Shapiro and Federal Communications Commission chairman Julius Genachowski.

The next Tech Policy Summit will be held during the 2011 International CES in Las Vegas, January 6-9, 2011.
