Tech Policy Central's mission is to encourage nonpartisan dialogue about tech policy -- not just among Beltway insiders but throughout the technology industry -- and our in-person meetings and conferences are a key part of how we hope to do that. In addition to Tech Policy Summit, we also produce the Privacy Identity Innovation conference.
Here is a current list of our upcoming events:
- November 15, 2011 - We're co-hosting a breakfast salon titled "Bridging the Continental Divide: From the Valley to D.C." with the Center for Policy on Emerging Technologies (C-PET). The event will take place from 8:00am to 9:30am at the Quadrus Conference Center in Menlo Park. There is no cost to participate but space is limited; sign up in advance to reserve your spot.
- November 15, 2011 - The breakfast salon will be followed by the pii2011 Venture Forum from 10:00am to 6:30pm. This new event will focus on the market for online identity, reputation management, data security, personal data stores and privacy-related tools. The event will also feature a workshop/lunch on Establishing and Managing a Privacy Program and privacy by design. Tickets for the pii2011 Venture Forum must be purchased separately, and both events will take place at the Quadrus Conference Center.
- May 1-3, 2012 - Save the date! The sixth edition of Tech Policy Summit will be held at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa Valley. The nonpartisan executive conference will bring together prominent leaders from the public and private sectors to examine critical policy issues impacting technology innovation and economic growth.
- May 15-16, 2012 - The third annual Privacy Identity Innovation conference, pii2012, will be held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in downtown Seattle. The two-day event will focus on the impact that emerging technologies and business models are having on how data is created, collected, shared, stored, analyzed and aggregated -- and how to protect sensitive information while enabling innovation.
